Your original ITP invitation and application questions:

You have been invited to apply for the Counterstrain Academy, (CSA) Instructor Training Program (ITP).

Expectations
Counterstrain Academy, LLC selects 1 to 2 new instructors and 1 to 2 new TA’s per year. Please note that acceptance into the ITP does not mean you are guaranteed an instructor or TA position with the Counterstrain Academy. The ITP program is not intended to train a practitioner how to be an instructor, rather, it is intended to shape already exceptional candidates into the best possible CSA Instructors.

In addition to working towards the CSA Mastery curriculum completion, you should posses the qualities that make an excellent instructor and Counterstrain Ambassador including:

  • Willing to work toward attaining a professional and confident stage presence
  • Possess a passion and commitment to the technique and are drawn to share it with others
  • Utilize Counterstrain on regular basis and realize the life-changing benefits
  • Willing to adhere to CSA presentation materials and policies
  • Able to multitask in a professional educational environment
  • Demonstrate a clinical mastery of the Counterstrain technique

There are many factors that may effect your assignment to a TA or lead instructor role such as personality, ability to work with a team, and willingness to stick to strict curriculum guidelines. Your skillset and your performance while part of the ITP will determine your selection for a future role. Please understand that you may simply not be a good fit, despite your skillset, personality and ability to speak in front of an audience and may be asked to remove yourself from the Instructor Training Program. This is in no way a reflection on your value as a student or practitioner.

Program of Study
The ITP program consists of quarterly meetings where you will have the opportunity to practice teaching the same content taught in CSA courses. When you are ready, you may schedule quarterly practicums where you will be quizzed on anatomy and techniques in addition to demonstrating hands-on proficiency.

The CSA will promote a candidate as the need for a new instructor or TA arises, and, the candidate is deemed ready by the director of education.

Additional ITP details will be distributed to you if you are selected for the ITP program.
