Inge Hindel, MD/PhD

Greetings! I am trained as an MD in family practice, with a PhD in medical anthropology. My medical work has included attending births for the first ten years of my time, doing obstetric care, pediatric care, well child checks, adolescent care, adult medicine and geriatrics. I additionally trained in functional medicine (and hold a certificate from the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine), started programs in nutrition, and planted herbal gardens. Through my never ending curiosity and interest in finding simple and elegant ways to approach health, I came to study fascial counterstrain and found it compelling enough to start a new chapter of care! My coursework in fascial counterstrain includes : arterial dysfunctions, venous and lymphatic dysfunction, myochains and ligamentous dysfunction, periosteal dysfunctions and endplates, cartilage, nervous systems 1 and 2, central sensitization 1 and 2, and the viscera. I am also a student in the counterstrain academy and have taken 3 courses through the academy. I love languages and speak English, Spanish, German and Nepali fluently. I have also studied Chinese and French. I started my current practice, Body Unbound, for the exclusive application of fascial counterstrain, in January of 2023.
