Miho Urisaka, PT, DPT, OCS

Miho Urisaka, PT, DPT, OCS received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2009. She is board-certified in orthopedics by the American Physical Therapy Association and is the owner of Orthopedic Movement Physical Therapy in New York City, where she works with a wide range of patients from performing artists and athletes to those with chronic pain. Dr. Urisaka fell in love with Counterstrain when she recognized that it not only could help with difficult orthopedic cases, but also helped her patients achieve improved health through better sleep, by reducing brain fog, and alleviating digestive dysfunctions. She has a passion for discovering the intricate connections of the organs and other fascial structures that are typically overlooked in conventional musculoskeletal treatments. She is an avid snowboarder and dog lover, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two fur babies.
