Robert Leavitt, PT, MPT, OCS, JSCC VP OF OPERATIONS, OAKMONT OFFICE Robert “Rob” graduated from UC Davis in 1993 with a degree in Physical Education and completed his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1995. Before he committed to physical therapy, Rob proudly served in the USMC. In a career long effort to further his knowledge and optimize his skill as a physical therapist, Rob has achieved many specialty certifications. In 2006 and again in 2016, Rob became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as having developed a greater depth of knowledge and skill related to the practice of orthopedic physical therapy. He is also a certified clinical instructor, committed to furthering the knowledge and skill of physical therapy students. Rob was awarded a certification in LSVT BIG, an exercise regimen to address the neuromuscular and orthopedic deficits associated with Parkinson’s Disease. In 2004 Rob became Jones Strain and Counterstrain Certified but continues to pursue mastery in Strain Counterstrain and Fascial Counterstrain, an improved version of the original technique. Strain Counterstrain and Fascial Counterstrain are each innovative techniques for treating pain and dysfunction in the entire body. Rob has over 25 years’ worth of clinical and practical experience in the study and application of a wide variety of Orthopedic and Sports related physical therapy.
