Leia Ambra, MS, PT, MTC, CSC 1

I graduated from the University of Michigan Physical Therapy program Magna Cum Laude in 1982, and received a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology in 1995. I have studied various manual therapy approaches, obtained a certification with Stanley Paris, PT, PhD, studied Pilates, Feldenkrais, and Aston patterning, studied many years with the famous Dr. Ed Stiles, DO, and studied with Dr. Barral ‘s Osteopathic visceral, neural, arterial, and joint techniques. I became certified in Dr. Porges’ Safe & Sound Protocol, and use his work in balancing the autonomic nervous system. I wrote my thesis on the biomechanics of whiplash injuries, and I have been an assistant instructor for Barral classes for several years. I have published articles on Chinese Medicine application in Physical Therapy, on Dance Movement Therapy for incest survivors, and on treating carpel tunnel/overuse injuries with Osteopathic approaches. I also am a student of the Rosen Method, which helps to bring somatic memories to consciousness through gentle hands-on body work.
I have studied Fascial Counterstrain since 2020 and became Certified in August 2025. I love the specificity, accuracy, and results of this work. I see great improvements with adults, children, and babies using this gentle technique.
I see patients in North Berkeley, using Fascial Counterstrain, visceral techniques, and postural, strengthening, and autonomic nervous system techniques. Best way to contact me is to text me. Happy travels!
Best way to contact me is text my cell phone. Healing wishes to all!

Kelly Valentine, LMT, PTA

Kelly began pursuing education in health and wellness as an undergrad at James Madison University, earning a B.S. Physical Education/ Coaching in 1987. A concentration in biomechanic structure and function has resulted in two additional degrees- becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2003, and Physical Therapist Assistant , A.A.S. in 2009.

This educational background has resulted in a variety of career opportunities over the years, ranging from classroom education to providing physical therapy for both outpatient and in-house populations. Her career is driven by the desire to assist people of all ages to achieve optimal function for their best quality of life. One of her greatest areas of contribution has been providing manual therapy to clients, honing a variety of techniques to provide relief to clients with chronic pain.

In May of 2021 Kelly learned of Fascial Counterstrain technique, personally experiencing the modality for an area of injury. The impact from that single session resulted in the pursuit to become an FCS provider as a primary method to address health concerns.

Kelly remains committed to continued education in all areas of wellness, and welcomes the opportunity to partner with you in reaching your best health.

Fauzia Asad, PT

Fauzia Asad graduated from University of Maryland at Baltimore with her degree in physical therapy in 1993. Always seeking better outcomes for her patients, she had the opportunity to take many continuing education classes in different manual therapy techniques. She was introduced to Strain Counterstrain through the Jones Institute when Dr Lawrence Jones (founder of the technique) was teaching. After completing all strain counterstrain classes offered, this technique became the foundation for her interventions with patients. When she learned of an extension of this technique that could address fascial restrictions with a multi system approach, she recognized its importance and has since attended many classes. She incorporates this powerful technique into her treatment of a wide variety of patients and has found profound, long lasting results. She is also a certified lymphedema therapist and has found Fascial Counterstrain to be an invaluable tool in addressing lymphedema and lipidema in a population that is often underserved.

Celeste Tulecki, LMT

Celeste Alder Tulecki works out of her office in central Vermont doing Fascial Counterstrain and massage therapy. She dedicated to counterstrain and is currently attending about a class every couple of months to learn as much as possible and integrate it into combined sessions of counterstrain and massage as well as standalone sessions of counterstrain.

” I love this work. It is a joy to work with my hands listening to what you need and listening to the fascia shifting and relaxing in your body. I am committed to providing to you the experience of relaxing deeply into receiving, returning to yourself and letting go” -Celeste
