Wendi Evans PT graduated from the University of Delaware in 1988 and has always had an interest in helping people with orthopedic and chronic pain issues. She began gravitating towards manual therapy as a means of treating the underlying the conditions contributing to pain and dysfunction. She learned how to tune in deeply to the various rhythms and restrictions in the body while training in craniosacral therapy, beginning in 2000. Then, in 2018, she began her educational journey into the world of Fascial Counterstrain. She discovered that these techniques significantly enhanced her treatments by expanding the number of systems in the body that can be addressed and by targeting the releases more precisely. She loves that all of this can be accomplished in a pain-free and gentle manner and she is grateful to be able to offer one on one attention to each of her patients in her private practice setting.

Initially I started as a counterstrain patient following a car accident when I was younger. After experiencing first hand the power to improve the quality of someone’s life through this technique, I enrolled at the University of South Australia and completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Since then, I have focused on specialising in counterstrain to treat clients holistically through assessing global, regional and local movement patterns using biotensegrity principles.
I am exceptionally passionate about improving the quality of life for my clients through resolving root causes rather than overlying symptoms.
When I’m not practicing you can find me hiking, scuba diving, playing golf, cooking, or spending time with my Greyhound.
Zachary is a kindred spirited anatomy geek. Nearly 20 years of experience in the field of manual therapy began as a PT tech after finishing massage therapy school. Along the way Zachary has studied and mastered many popular techniques. An interest in Classical and Traditional Chinese Medicine began his curiosity for deeply understanding the body and health. During this journey, he’s developed a practice in healing techniques that hold up to the test of time and scrutiny of efficacy. After being introduced to Counterstrain he found that the techniques abide similar principles he found in the practice of Taiji Chuan. Currently Zachary continues a clinical practice in Arizona and studies with The Jones Institute.
Greetings!
I am trained as an MD in family practice, with a PhD in medical anthropology. My medical work has included attending births for the first ten years of my time, doing obstetric care, pediatric care, well child checks, adolescent care, adult medicine and geriatrics. I additionally trained in functional medicine (and hold a certificate from the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine), started programs in nutrition, and planted herbal gardens.
Through my never ending curiosity and interest in finding simple and elegant ways to approach health, I came to study fascial counterstrain and found it compelling enough to start a new chapter of care!
My coursework in fascial counterstrain includes : arterial dysfunctions, venous and lymphatic dysfunction, myochains and ligamentous dysfunction, periosteal dysfunctions and endplates, cartilage, nervous systems 1 and 2, central sensitization 1 and 2, and the viscera. I am also a student in the counterstrain academy and have taken 3 courses through the academy.
I love languages and speak English, Spanish, German and Nepali fluently. I have also studied Chinese and French.
I started my current practice, Body Unbound, for the exclusive application of fascial counterstrain, in January of 2023.
I take many medical insurances – please see my website bodyunbound.care
Oakland, California. Nobuko received Massage Therapy license in 2002. In 2006 she became a licensed Occupational Therapist. She continues to learn modalities in manual therapy. She found Fascial Counterstain in 2019 as a patient with acute sciatica. The treatment was very effective and resolved the pain over a few days, going from having a great difficulty to even just roll in bed to being able to move normally. This experience made her decide to study it to be able to offer to clients. Techniques are non-invasive and very gentle, making it a versatile tool to treat wide range of population.
