Dr. Mielke graduated from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2015 with a doctorate in physical therapy. He completed an internship with San Luis Sports Therapy in central coast California learning extensively about the treatment of athletes and weekend warriors.
Following his time in San Luis Obispo, Dr. Mielke furthered his study in orthopedic physical therapy while working with El Dorado Physical Therapy in Folsom, CA. While here, Dr. Mielke completed a performance mentorship with the renowned leader in sports medicine EXOS in Carlsbad, CA. Combining this with a certification in strength and conditioning, Dr. Mielke has extensive knowledge in exercise implementation and progression both in therapeutic as well as performance programs.
In 2020 after just 4 years in practice, Dr. Mielke achieved board certification as an orthopedic specialist, a distinction which sets him apart as an expert in the field. As he continued to practice, Dr. Mielke observed many gaps in the way physical therapy as a profession was looking at, and addressing dysfunction in the human body. Many times the accepted way of treating patients fell short of the desired outcome. Realizing this, he has gone on to study with the Jones Institute, where he learned about the emerging treatment technique, Fascial Counterstrain (FCS). FCS has allowed Dr. Mielke to help achieve the desired outcome by addressing mobility and tissue limitations that are not addressed in other treatment modalities.
Today, Dr. Mielke believes in including the best hands-on treatment modalities and best exercise interventions in his therapy sessions. He utilizes the entirety of his experience and skill to help his patients achieve their goals.
