Gabriel Skinner, LMT

Gabriel’s background since 2003 is in neuromuscular therapies and sports medicine working with a network of physicians, physiatrists, physical therapists, and chiropractors as part of a patient-centric team in the DC area.

He encountered Fascial Counterstrain in 2019 and immediately started the coursework after witnessing its power to not only address the root causes of pain and dysfunction, but also to change lives; a close friend resolved post-concussion symptoms and his wife had significant migraine relief.

In 2023 he took a therapist position at Horizons Therapy in Waynesboro, VA under the mentorship of Christine Wood, DPT, instructor and one of the most skilled and experienced Fascial Counterstrain therapists in the country. After several years of training and working with patients using Counterstrain as the primary modality, Gabriel brings his broad experience, this transformative technique, and a deeply caring spirit to the community of West Chester.

Mark Noble, PT, DPT

Mark graduated from the College of Charleston (SC) with a BS in Physical Education emphasis in Sport Management. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Mark’s Counterstrain journey of training and treating patients began in 2014. He has been amazed by the outcomes that Counterstrain has had on patients and himself. Mark has received Counterstrain treatments from Dr. Susan Reynolds PT, DPT (San Diego, CA) and Indu Krishna, PT (Los Angeles, CA). Mark also brings to the clinic five years of experience treating acute care patients in the hospital setting. Prior to returning to graduate school to purse his life-long dream of becoming a Physical Therapist, Mark spent eleven years with the Charleston County Parks (SC) managing the Ocean Access Parks and Ocean Rescue Program. Mark’s dream was inspired by the Physical Therapists who treated him for chronic shoulder pain during his career as a competitive swimmer spanning from elementary school through college. Mark likes to spend time with his wife and daughter and enjoys surfing, swimming and most water activities.

Ann Marie Long, LMT

Obtaining my massage therapy licensure in 2018 opened the door to pursue Fascial Counterstrain, for which I will always be tremendously grateful. Counterstrain has improved my life tremendously and allowed me to live pain-free after living with lumbar herniated-disc pain since 1992. No other modalities came close to achieving the freedom and mobility I have from Counterstrain. Although “mastery” may take me the rest of my life, I gratefully engage that process, help anyone I can, and make referrals to my more advanced cohort when necessary! May I support your healing journey!

Jennifer Williamson, ND

Dr. Jennifer Williamson, ND, RH(AHG) She/Her, is fat, neurodiverse and disabled. In 2009, she graduated from the Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences). After Naturopathic Medical School, she worked in Buffalo, New York for a few years both seeing clients and teaching as adjunct faculty at Daemen University’s Complementary and Alternative Therapies program. In 2012, she moved to Vermont to join Avalon Natural Medicine, which she purchased and has been running since 2017.

Along the way, Dr. Jen found Fascial Counterstrain first through treatment from other practitioners who were able to resolve or drastically improve ailments that were decades-long. Finally, after having a treatment on her brain by the founder of Fascial Counterstrain, Brian Tuckey, she realized that she needed to bring this brilliant technique to her quiet little corner of Vermont by learning it herself. In 2024, Dr. Jen started her training and is very motivated to finish the entire course load over the next few years.

Elsa Vagen, LMT

Elsa began her Counterstrain journey in 2023 after being introduced to the technique during massage school, where a fellow student was already practicing. After just a few sessions, she experienced profound relief from years of chronic headaches and neck pain—something no other approach had been able to touch. That experience completely changed her understanding of the body and its capacity to heal, and she knew right then that she needed to learn this technique.

Since then, shes been continually inspired by the precision and effectiveness of Counterstrain. Each session reminds her how intelligent and resilient the body truly is—always seeking balance and alignment; just needing the right conditions to thrive.
